What is Translation?


Translation is a subtle art and cannot be produced by anyone who is familiar with two languages. If a translated document may be correct “word for word,” but sounds horrible when read as a whole, it is not something worth paying for. Remember that bilingualism on its own is not a guarantee of written fluency of skill in translation. The translator can render the message of the text in source language, with appropriate style and terminology, in the target language. Hence, the translator needs a meticulous mind to search for the correct word or phrase and to make sure that we are clear about ambiguous or complicated wording.

People familiar with the subject are likely to produce a better text. The same applies to translators. The longer we work with clients and the better we understand their business philosophy, strategy and products, the more effective texts will be. It is also better for clients to know the translator who actually works for you and produces your texts. Therefore, I only take on work that I consider to be accessible and ensure the quality
